Week 4: More on Scott's Visit to Nova Scotia
May 5th, 2009

Scott Learns About the Heritage of Alexander Keith’s

As a brewer and Mayor, Alexander Keith contributed much to the City of Halifax. It is critical that as the Columbia Brewery goes through the Accreditation Process, the heritage of this great man and his beer must be understood and upheld by Scott. In this clip, Scott and I tour some of the historical sites that refer to Alexander Keith. We also honour Alexander Keith by pledging to uphold the Keith’s brewing traditions.

  1. B. Willis says:

We enjoy Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale and were wondering where we could buy the Alexander Keith’s beer glasses to serve it in for our friends at our barbeques. Awaiting your reply.

We greatly enjoy Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale and would like to buy Alexander Keith’s beer glasses to serve to our friends at barbecues. Could you advise as to where we may purchase them?

    • admin says:

You can currently purchase the glasses at the Alexander Keith’s brewery in Nova Scotia. Check back at Keiths.ca in a couple months, and you’ll be able to purchase online there once our e-store is up and running.

  2. TIM SHIELDS says:

DEAR SIRS. AS A BEER DRINKER MOST OF MY LIFE. I RELOCATED HERE FROM ONTARIO IN 2006. I HAVE BEEN A CONSUMER OF YOUR BEER SINCE COMING HERE. I HAVE TASTED ALL OF THE PRODUCTS YOU HAVE RELEASED SINCE THEN AND WAS COMPLETELY DISAPOINTED IN YOUR NEW PREMIUM WHITE. IT HAD NO HINT OF LEMON, AND WAS CLOUDY AND AN AFTER TASTE THAT REMINDED ME OF IPA. NUFFSAID.

    • Brew Master says:

Sorry the White did not meet your expectations. It truly does meet its original intent which is more of a citrus orange character. Also, the opaque appearance comes from the yeast and is the white character as we intend it. For me, it is a real hit on a hot day sitting in the sun on the deck. Here’s hoping for lots of sunny hot days. Cheers.”
