About Graham

My name is Graham Kendall, and I’m the Keith’s Brew Master here at the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery. As the Brew Master, I’m trusted with the important task of ensuring each batch of Alexander Keith’s is brewed without compromise.
I’ve lived in almost every province in Canada, but I’m a Maritimer through and through. I love the East Coast – I grew up here and I make my home here now with my wife and three kids between the ages of 9 and 15, so I’m especially proud to brew Alexander Keith’s.
My journey to becoming a Brew Master began at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where I earned a B.Sc. in microbiology. Yes that’s right, brewing is a science. I then completed my Masters in Brewing at Heroit-Watt University in Scotland – one of the few places in the world where aspiring Brew Masters can learn the art of fine brewing. In 1987 I returned home and have been working in the brewing industry ever since.
I’ve been the Keith’s Brew Master now for the past three years, and I’m responsible for all of the brewing operations here, from raw materials through to the finished product. It’s of the utmost importance that I always follow the quality brewing principles set forth by Mr. Keith himself, using only the finest ingredients and brewing each batch slowly and carefully, taking the time to get it right. I’m truly honoured to have been entrusted with the Alexander Keith’s legacy, passed down from a long line of Brew Masters before me. Not one drop of this fine ale is released until it meets my exacting standards!
